An ongoing national survey to check dairy cattle for bovine TB has returned very good news. Not a single animal has been found with the disease. Swaziland Dairy Board CEO Dr Ronny Dlamini said they have almost completed the survey.
TB from dairy cattle can be passed on to people. Dr Dlamini also cautioned that people should desist from spitting onto the ground as cattle might eat grass effected by their spittoon and contract TB.
The survey was conducted on smallholder dairy farmers on Swazi Nation Land.
